The primary goal of the ITRD Airport Transit Study is the integration of air, train, and transit services in Alberta's major cities, including Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Lethbridge. Because of continuous urbanization and population growth, a comprehensive, efficient, and sustainable transportation infrastructure is becoming more and more important. The goal of this project is to provide recommendations for improving regional connectivity and sustainability by weighing the advantages and disadvantages of merging various modes of transportation.
The report utilizes a multi-faceted methodology combining stakeholder consultations, case studies, and quantitative analysis to evaluate current transportation systems and propose future enhancements. By integrating transit systems with rail and air travel, the study envisions creating a more connected, accessible, and sustainable transport framework in Alberta.
